What do platelets have to do with thicker, healthier hair? Our platelets are packed with growth factors. Grow factors are key to stimulating new healthy hair growth.
Hormonal changes and stress are common causes for hair loss or thinning. The growth factors found in the PRP can reactivate hair follicles that have become inactive in individuals experiencing premature hair loss or thinning of hair. By injecting PRP into the scalp to target and stimulate dormant hair follicles, many patients can regrow their hair and/or see a thickening of their hair.
PRP is a simple office treatment that has no downtime or recovery. It starts with a simple drawing of a small tube of blood from your arm. The blood sample is spun in a centrifuge in our office. After 10 minutes of spinning, your provider will remove the top portion of plasma to use for injecting with tiny needles into areas of your scalp. We provide both numbing cream and ProNox for your comfort.
This is a minimally invasive procedure can have a very impactful result for those suffering from hair loss. We perform PRP treatments every 4 weeks for a total of 4 treatments. To maintain your great results, you will have a maintenance treatment every 6 months.
We combine all the treatments described above to address the complex nature of hair loss/thinning, and to give you the best results possible.
