Frequently aSKED qUESTIONS ABOUT jUVEDERM xc
When are results anticipated?
The great thing about Juvederm is that the results are immediate.
What are the most common side effects?
Most people experience minimal or no side effects. Swelling, redness and occasional bruising are the most commonly seen side effects and if they occur at all, are typically gone in 1 – 2 weeks.
How comfortable is the procedure?
Because Juvederm XC is pre-mixed with numbing medication it is a very comfortable procedure. We also use prescription numbing cream and ice for added comfort.
What is the cost?
Cost varies depending upon the desired results. Juvederm can be used in small amounts as a simple line filler or a lip plumper. You can use moderate amounts of Juvederm to eliminate that “tired look”; to improve the look of sagging skin and aging or skeletonized hands. It can even be used to create more dramatic improvements such as a “liquid facelift”. Ask us for the price that addresses your specific needs and goals.
Will I look natural?
This is a common concern of most clients. Our philosophy is to create natural result. We strive to have you look refreshed and slightly more youthful as opposed to “artificial” or “altered”. “Your look” can also be easily adjusted after your treatment should you decide you want a slightly different look.
How long does it last?
Most areas treated with Juvederm last up to a year. Juvederm has been shown to help stimulate the production of collagen in your skin, which can cause it to last even longer for some people.
What is the down time?
There is minimal down time associated with Juvederm XC. If swelling occurs it typically resolves in 2-10 days. Should bruising occur it typically resolves in 7-14 days. You should not travel by air or engage in activities where you may experience changes in altitude or barometric/atmospheric pressure for 2 weeks after your Juvederm treatment. It is important that we schedule your appointment appropriately around any up-coming special events or travel.
